My groom brought an idea to our consult that I could not WAIT to bring to life! My favorite part is the claws RIPPING through the bride's side destroying the flowers :) The topper is hand-carved from a pound of polymer clay, so the new MrnMrs could keep it forever. I miss the cake-xiety. Thanks for looking!
A modern wedding cake designed with black and white fondant stripes on the bottom tier. The top tier is wrapped in black tulle, which I stylised to match my concept. The feature flowers are bright orange/red sugar ranuncules and green sugar buds. I made the cake stand to compliment the design of the cake.
Edible Art of the Day Winner for Saturday December 8, 2012 is Emma Doherty. This cake came about after dicussing with the recipients wife what her husband liked to do. She told me about his fishing hobby and then told me a story of when he fell in the lake while fishing. That was a red rag to a bull for me and that was the theme. Edible Art of the Day Winner for Thursday November 29, 2012 is Emma Doherty. I loved making this cake. I wasn't asked to put a dragon on the cake but just couldn't resist. He is my first dragon and I loved him, he was sooo cute. The tower is rice crispie and marshmallow cakes moulded, which I think really looks effective and definately gives it stability. The receipients were very pleased with the whole thing. Congrats Emma!!! >>>>SEE ALL WINNERS
