I’m really into baking and photography, and the combination of the two for me is a bit magical when they come together to create that kind of special image where you can almost TASTE the treat in the picture. I guess a few peeps have noticed my love of “bake-ography” and so I am always being asked about how I “TAKE GOOD PHOTOGRAPHS.”  As Ansel Adams once said:

“There are no rules for good photographs, there are only good photographs.”  There are a few tips I can share with you, though, which I hope you find useful.

You can actually use any camera to take your pictures. What’s important to note is that if you’ve spent time creating something, why not showcase your creations in the best way possible?  I promise these are easy and cheap, and maybe even fun! techniques you can use. I know they work because I use them all the time. I really did used to just photograph my desserts on my countertops, with varying bits of kitchen crap laying around, but after investing hours, days, or even weeks on a project… is this really the best idea?

Anyway, I’ll get on with some info on how I take pix of my goodies… I think most people know about using wallpaper or gift wrap as backgrounds, but here are a few other ideas…
