The bottom is a 2 layer pink velvet cake filed with vanilla buttercreme. Then covered in white fondant and diamond inpelled with pink dragees. The top layer is a 4 layer pink velvet ballerina cake with Buttercream filling in pink fondant and with a little tutu. Topped with ballerina fondant shoes.
The cake depicts a dramatic wedding scene against the background of iconic features of Weston-super-Mare and the Dismaland Bemusement Park. It includes references to some well-known causes in Weston-super-Mare (Birnbeck Pier and Dolphin Square). It has the many nuances you’d expect of a British seaside town like Weston-super-Mare cake – seagulls, donkey, fish and chips, ice-cream, sand and of course the murky tidal waters. The centrepiece of the cake is a wedding couple.
A labor of love, this Turtle Cake was made two years ago this September for the memorial of John Phillip Moore. Together, family and friends gathered at his favorite place in the world, at his "Cathedral Falls"on his property at Hidden Cove near Mammoth Cave, KY to remember and celebrate his life. After eight cruel months of fighting GBM, a vicious and aggressive brain tumor, John Phil left us for his Cathedral Falls in Heaven.
