Topiary Cookie Tree Tutorial
Nicole Long – Sugar Momma’s Custom Cakes
The cookie tree is a lot easier than it looks.
The framework for the tree is a topiary form that I bought at my local craft store. It already came pieced together as top and bottom.
I did not have to assemble it in anyway!! So easy! We have AC Moore here in MA. I know that Michael’s carries them as well.
Bought a pot that the foam base would fit in. I dirty iced the cone part like I would a cake using a slightly stiff buttercream. Placed the cookies all around. After I placed all the cookies, I piped in between filling all the gaps. I used a #16 star tip. Sprinkled with a little disco dust (I am addicted to that stuff) and voila! Done! I can’t wait to make more!
Let me know when you make one, I want to see pics!!!
