NASHVILLE, Tenn. – An intense competition as local media personalities battled it out over cake.

NewsChannel 5 anchor Rhori Johnston took a little time away from the newsroom Wednesday to help decorate a cake.

“You can cut the tension with a knife. Ugh, I want to win,” Rhori said.

It was all to kick off the “Bringing Hope to the Table” campaign. Kroger is partnering up with Second Harvest food bank for the campaign.

Local personalities teamed up with professional cake decorators to come up with something really great, and Rhori had a little extra help from his daughter.

“Well he’s doing pretty good, but maybe he needs more sprinkles. He needs more sprinkles,” she said.

In the end, Rhori was not named the winner, but $1,000 will go toward Second Harvest from the event. You can help out by either donating to Second Harvest at Kroger stores, or buying specially marked items in the store.
